The department's Environmental Services Program laboratory analyzes approximately 24,000 samples each year, for about 336,000 compounds or physical properties. The Laboratory Information Management System (LIMS) is an online database of all analytical data analyzed at the department laboratory for the past five years. Each sample may be part of a larger project or investigation the department has conducted.
Using the online search, users can access information about specific samples and the sample results. Samples can be search based on when it was collected, where it was collected, what substance was analyzed or the sample number. Search results can then be sorted by the column headers. To view more detailed information about a specific sample, including the sample results, click on the sample number.
What's not included in LIMS?
- Records relevant to criminal investigations or environmental enforcement actions
- Samples sent to contract labs for tests the department's laboratory does not conduct
- Samples submitted to the department's laboratory by outside parties
