The Missouri Department of Natural Resources is committed to helping Missouri communities thrive with resources that enable them to meet the needs of citizens now and into the future. The department offers numerous financial assistance opportunities that range from preserving the past by rehabilitating a historic building through brownfield grants to fostering long-term future growth and sustainability by constructing new sewer and water systems using the State Revolving Fund. These opportunities for financial assistance are in the form of tax credits and exemptions, loans and grants and are available to private individuals, communities, organizations and companies.
Each year the department passes approximately $500 million through to Missouri communities to improve infrastructure, prevent erosion, manage hazardous waste, provide recreational opportunities, preserve our history and support energy programs in local communities. Removing financial barriers empowers communities to protect our natural resources and improve the overall health and wellness of Missouri citizens.
