Pettis County Development Co. LLC applied for a solid waste disposal area construction permit for the Presidio Environmental Repository Facility. The proposed sanitary landfill would be used for disposing municipal solid waste, bulky waste, demolition and construction waste, brush and wood waste, soil, rock concrete, tires and inert solids. After a thorough technical review of the permit application, the department prepared a draft Solid Waste Disposal Area Construction Permit.
The department will hold a public hearing about the draft sanitary disposal area construction permit. At the public hearing, the public can have their comments about the draft permit entered into the official record. The department is accepting written comments on the draft permit until Dec. 29, 2025.
