Suzanne McKenna was named as Deputy General Counsel for the Missouri Department of Natural Resources, effective Nov. 5, 2024. Suzanne has served as senior legal counsel in the department’s General Counsel’s Office since 2022. She previously served as legal counsel supporting the Division of State Parks and the State Historic Preservation Office. Suzanne has also supported programs relating to real estate, natural and cultural resources, and multiple grant programs for the Division of Environmental Quality and the Missouri Geological Survey.
Before moving to Missouri in 2016, Suzanne worked in a general practice law firm on real estate, trusts and estates, and business matters, including navigating environmental regulations. She attended the University of Virginia and George Mason University Law School and worked at the U.S. Congress.
