JEFFERSON CITY, MO, Oct. 02, 2026 – A new campground at St. Francois State Park will be open starting Oct. 02, and the public is invited for the ribbon cutting on Oct. 10, at 11 a.m. at the new bathhouse in the new campground. The park will also hold its annual public meeting Oct. 10.  

The new campground will offer 20 50-amp electric sites and 43 full-service sites offering 50-amp electric service, water and sewer. This project is one of several revenue bond projects across the state, more information on these projects can be found by visiting Missouri State Parks Revenue Bonds.  

Campsite reservations can be made by contacting the Reservation Call Center at 877-422-6766 from 7 a.m. - 7 p.m. or by visiting Missouri State Parks Reservations.

St. Francois State Park is located at 8920 US Highway 67 North in Bonne Terre. For questions, please contact the park at 573-358-2173. The primary source of funding for the state park system is half of the dedicated constitutional tax of one-tenth-of-one-percent Parks, Soils and Water Sales Tax. The tax provides about three-fourths of the division's budget for operation and development of state parks. All additional funding for Missouri's Division of State Parks comes from revenues generated in the state park system and some federal funds.
