JEFFERSON CITY, MO, MAY 3, 2022 – At 11 a.m. tomorrow, May 4, Missouri State Parks will present the final conceptual development plan and announce a decision on a name change proposal for Ozark Mountain State Park. A guided hike visiting the Garber Schoolhouse and viewing the park’s stewardship progress will follow at 1 p.m.
Governor Mike Parson will be joined by Lieutenant Governor Mike Kehoe, Department of Natural Resources Director Dru Buntin and State Parks Director David Kelly for the event.
The public is invited to attend all of the activities, and park representatives will be available to provide updates on the park’s completed conceptual development plan, which outlines future use and development of the park and the park’s stewardship progress.
