The Missouri Department of Natural Resources is making its Missouri Comprehensive Air Quality Plan available for a 14-day public comment period, beginning Oct. 29, 2025. The purpose of the Missouri Comprehensive Air Quality Plan is to build off the Missouri Plan for Environmental Improvement Grants. The plan reviews significant sources/sinks and sectors of the applicable air pollutants present in Missouri, establishes non-binding, near-term and long-term emission reduction goals, and provide potential strategies and measures to achieve those goals. The report is available online at Air Public Notices. The department will accept public comments on the report through Nov. 12, 2025. The department will consider all comments received prior to submitting the report to the U.S. Environmental Protection Agency.
The department invites the public to review and offer written comments on the proposed plan until Nov. 12, 2025. Written comments may be submitted by mail to Missouri Department of Natural Resources, Air Pollution Control Program, ATTN: Air Quality Planning Section Chief, P.O.
