The Missouri State Museum will host the interactive program called "Thanksgiving Time" to explore the history of this great holiday. The program will be held at 2 p.m. on Saturday, Nov. 14 in the museum classroom, which is located in the History Hall in the east wing of the State Capitol.
It took more than 30 years of campaigning to have Thanksgiving declared a National holiday. In addition to learning about the holiday’s history, families can work together to create a "Thankful Wreath of Leaves" while participants share their own family traditions. This program is free and open to the public. This interactive programs is focused on families with children aged 4 to 12.
The program will be held in the Missouri State Museum classroom, History Hall, east wing, Missouri State Capitol. Entrance will be through the east or west entry doors with ADA access available through the Capitol garage, at the lower level of the east side of the building.
