JEFFERSON CITY, MO, DEC. 2, 2021 – Staff members at Rock Bridge Memorial State Park, in affiliation with the Friends of Rock Bridge Association, invite the public to get out and take a self-guided hike between Tuesday, Dec. 7 and Monday, Jan 3. Visitors will not only to learn the history of the park and the surrounding area. but will also have the chance to win a $30 gift card.
The 1.5-mile self-guiding Sinkhole Trail offers the opportunity to see historic ruins, woodland, sinkholes, a pit cave entrance and the Rock Bridge, in addition to reading 15 historical signs displayed at points along the way.

Participants will receive via email 12 a scavenger hunt questions to answer as they hike. Answers should be submitted to the park office email address provided with the questionnaire by Jan. 3. Those who answer correctly will be entered into the drawing. Four people will receive both a $30 gift card to spend in the park store, which features nature books, T-shirts and souvenirs, as well as a free one-year individual membership to the Friends of Rock Bridge Association. All prizes are courtesy of the Friends of Rock Bridge Association.
Sinkhole Trail is of moderate difficulty, with some hills and dirt/rock/root surfaces, and starts and ends at the south end of the Devil's Icebox parking lot.
