The public is invited to attend Washington State Park’s Spring Thing Walk. The guided hike will take place at 1 p.m. on Saturday, March 12 and Sunday, March 20 and begin at the Thunderbird Lodge parking lot.
Washington State Park naturalist staff will lead guests on a hike along the Big River flood plain to examine some of the first signs of spring in this ecologically significant area. This event is free and open to the public.
The guided hike will last approximately ninety minutes and participants should dress accordingly for this outdoor experience. Binoculars may be useful. Participants are encouraged to bring a picnic lunch to enjoy before or after the hike in the scenic beauty of Washington State Park.
