Guests can explore the prairie while learning about bison on a guided bison hike. The hike will begin Saturday, Feb. 6 at 1 p.m. at the Regal Tallgrass Prairie Nature Center.
The hike will provide the opportunity to see what the prairie has to offer this time of year. Hikers should be prepared for a hike over uneven terrain. Bringing water, snacks, insect repellent, a hat, sunscreen, and wearing sturdy shoes is recommended. Binoculars will be useful in looking at bison and other wildlife that inhabit the prairie. Participants are also encouraged to dress for the weather as prairie winds can be strong in the winter.
