JEFFERSON CITY, MO, NOV. 30, 2021 – Staff members at First Missouri State Capitol State Historic Site invite the public to experience shopping in an 1821 general store on the frontier from noon to 9 p.m. Friday, Dec. 10.
The site will have the Peck Brothers Dry Goods and Hardware Store open to the public. Products for sale will include, but are not limited to, old-fashioned toys, games, candy, lye soap, tea blocks and handmade Christmas ornaments.
Visitors can enjoy the old-time atmosphere and shop the unique and old-time items for stocking stuffers and small gifts. Hot chocolate and apple cider will be available to patrons while shopping.
The public is strongly encouraged to follow social-distancing guidelines and be proactive in protecting themselves and others.
