JEFFERSON CITY, Mo. – The Missouri Department of Natural Resources issued a final hazardous waste permit modification to Safety-Kleen Systems Inc.
By modifying this permit, the Division of Environmental Quality acknowledges that the company has certified the approved final remedy was completed as outlined in its permit.
After a thorough review of the permit modification request, the department issued a final Part I Permit Modification for the Safety-Kleen Systems Inc., Springfield facility. The permit modification removes the corrective action conditions associated with the two underground storage tanks, and related groundwater monitoring and reporting requirements.
