JEFFERSON CITY, MO, MAY 16, 2018 – The public is invited to celebrate National Trails Day with Missouri State Parks Saturday, June 2 at many family-friendly activities across the state. Sponsored by the American Hiking Society, National Trails Day is the country’s largest celebration of trails with events across the United States to promote awareness and the benefits of trails.
A wide variety of National Trails Day events will be offered at eight Missouri State Parks, including hikes to look for bison and urban hikes, as well as activities to help participants experience Missouri’s frontier and to identify plants and animals along the trail. The day also encourages visitors to head out on any state park trail to create their own trail adventure.
