The public is invited to enjoy a night in front of the silver screen for Bijou at Bothwell. Sponsored by Missouri State Parks, the event will take place 7:30 p.m., Saturday, Sept. 12 at Bothwell Lodge State Historic Site in Sedalia.
The site will host a screening of the 1953 film, "It Came from Outer Space," featuring Richard Carlson and Barbara Rush. A spaceship from another world crashes in the Arizona desert, and only an amateur stargazer and a school teacher suspect alien influence when the local townsfolk begin to act strange.
Visitors are encouraged to bring their own seating and are reminded to dress appropriately for the weather.
Bothwell Lodge State Historic Site is located seven miles north of Sedalia on U.S. Highway 65. For more information about the event, call Bothwell Lodge State Historic Site at 660-827-0510.
